What Cliniko is
Cliniko is practice management software for clinics and allied health practitioners — booking, treatment notes, invoicing and reporting — and by their own account it is used by practitioners in more than 95 countries. It has been doing this for a long time and it shows in how little of it is complicated.
Where Cliniko is the better product
Every feature, at every level
Cliniko does not tier its features. Whatever you pay, you get all of it; the bill grows with the number of practitioners and nothing else. That is rare in this category and it is genuinely better than what we do — we gate some areas by plan, which means a Clinic+ customer can be told an area is not included and a Cliniko customer never can.
Locations and admin staff cost nothing extra
Unlimited locations, unlimited reception and admin users are included at every level of their pricing. Ours is not arranged that way: multiple branches sit on our top plan. If you run three sites and a small clinical team, that difference is the whole comparison and it does not favour us.
Maturity
A long-established product with a long-established support reputation. We are younger, and there is no version of this page where that is not true.
Where Clinic+ is different
You can start at nothing
Clinic+ has a free plan — not a trial that expires, a plan. Cliniko's pricing page offers a 30-day free trial and no free tier. If you want to run a real clinic on something for a few months before deciding, that is a difference you feel immediately.
A website assistant that books
Our assistant answers visitors on your own site in the language they wrote in, from your own hours, services and FAQ, and writes the appointment into the calendar itself. Cliniko's features page lists online booking; it does not list an AI assistant that holds the conversation. Those are different things: a booking form waits to be filled in, an assistant answers the question that comes before it.
Stock, with the currency you bought in
Consumables recorded in the currency you paid, the rate kept from that day, weighted-average valuation in yours, and low-stock warnings per branch. Stock is not listed among Cliniko's feature areas. For a clinic whose treatments consume something expensive, that is a spreadsheet you keep or do not.

Choose Cliniko if
You run allied health, you want every feature without ever thinking about which plan you are on, and especially if you run several sites with a small clinical team — that is the case their pricing is shaped for and ours is not.
Choose Clinic+ if
You want the website to answer and book without a person, you consume stock worth tracking, you work across currencies, or you want to start at nothing and grow into a plan.

- Can I move from Cliniko to Clinic+?
- Cliniko lets you export your data yourself, which is the part that usually decides whether a migration is possible at all. What comes across cleanly is patients, contacts and appointment history; treatment notes and attachments are the ones to check carefully before you commit, in either direction and with any pair of systems.
- Does Clinic+ do treatment notes as well as Cliniko?
- We hold clinical records — examinations, prescriptions, measurements, a tooth chart, consent in the language it was signed — and they sit behind their own permission so the front desk can book without reading them. Cliniko has been refining its notes for far longer. If the note is the thing you spend your day inside, try both and judge that part specifically.
- Is Clinic+ an EHR?
- No, and neither product is trying to be. Both are practice management systems with clinical records in them. If you need to exchange records with other providers to a health-information standard, that is a different category of product and a larger commitment than either of these.
