Widget appearance and behaviour

Colour, position, the out-of-hours message, the consent gate and auto-open.

In the panelWidgetAppearance

Brand

  • Colour — falls back to your clinic brand colour when left empty, so most clinics set nothing here.
  • Bot name — what the patient sees it called. A name beats "Assistant".
  • Logo — taken from your clinic logo. There is deliberately no second field: one brand.

Position

Pick a corner and nudge the margins if the launcher collides with something — a cookie banner, a back-to-top button. Margins accept 8 to 64 pixels.

The out-of-hours message

Shown when your clinic is closed, based on your working hours. Write something that sets an expectation: when you open, and what happens to a message left now.

Example

A good out-of-hours message

  • "We are closed until 09:00 tomorrow. You can still book — the calendar is live — and anything you write here will be waiting for us in the morning."
  • It answers the two questions a patient at 22:00 actually has.

A short privacy notice shown before the chat starts, which you can require the patient to accept before they can type.

Important

Whether you must require it depends on where you practise and what you tell patients elsewhere. Requiring it is the cautious setting, and the cost is one tap.

Auto-open

The widget can open itself after a delay, up to 120 seconds. Zero means never.

Tip

If you use it, make it late — twenty or thirty seconds, not three. Opening immediately interrupts someone who is still reading the page you spent money getting them to.

Everything else

SettingNotes
Colour schemeAuto follows the patient's device. Lock it to light if your site is light-only.
Font sizeWorth raising if your patients skew older.
SoundOff is the safe default — a chime on a clinic website surprises people.
Required contact fieldsWhich details a patient must give before it will book. Fewer fields, more bookings; more fields, better records.

Common questions

Changes are not showing on my site.
Hard-refresh, or check in a private window. Widget settings are cached briefly at the edge.
Can I hide the "powered by" line?
There is a toggle for it in the polish section.
