Services and pricing

Fixed prices, ranges, on-request quotes, packages, and pricing in a second currency.

In the panelFinanceServices

A service carries a price, a selling unit and a typical duration. The duration is what the calendar suggests when someone books it, so getting it roughly right saves the front desk a correction on every visit.

Four ways to price

ModeUse it for
FixedA consultation with one price.
RangeWork that varies — "between X and Y" is more honest than a single number you will revise.
On requestAnything that needs an examination first. Seeded services start here so we never invent an amount for you.
PackageBundled sessions — a course of ten, priced as one.
Tip

Use range more than you think. A single number you intend to revise upward in conversation reads, to a patient, as a price you changed.

Selling units

The unit is how you bill: per visit, per session, per tooth, per area, per package. It drives the quantity box on an invoice line and the wording the assistant uses when it quotes.

Example

A ten-session physiotherapy course

  • Mode — package
  • Unit — session, quantity 10
  • Price — one figure for the course
  • The assistant says "a course of 10 sessions", not "10 × one session".

A different currency for one service

A service can override the clinic default. If you price most work in your local currency but one treatment in euros, set it on that service alone rather than changing your default.

Retiring a service

Deactivate rather than delete. It disappears from the patient-facing lists and from the assistant's vocabulary, while every past transaction that referenced it stays readable.

Common questions

Does the assistant quote prices?
It can discuss what you have configured. For anything that must be word-for-word, use a locked answer — a paraphrased price is a price you did not set.
Should the duration be the appointment length or the treatment time?
The appointment length — what the calendar should block. Include the turnaround if you need it.
