Clinic details and currency
Name, address, contact details, timezone, and the currency choice that historical records depend on.
Everything on this page is used somewhere a patient can see it: the name on reminder emails, the address on the public page, the phone number the assistant gives out when it hands over.
Currency
Your default currency is the base your reporting and stock valuation are expressed in. Separately, you list every currency you actually transact in — that is the set the currency pickers offer.
Transactions snapshot the currency at the moment they are written, so changing your default later does not rewrite historical amounts. Past records keep the currency they were recorded in. That is the honest behaviour, and it means the switch is worth thinking about once rather than twice.
Example
A clinic that bills in two currencies
- Default currency — TRY. Reports and stock valuation come out in lira.
- Accepted currencies — TRY, EUR. A European patient can be invoiced in euros.
- A euro transaction stores the amount, the currency, and the rate that day.
- The monthly report converts it at that stored rate, not at today's.
Timezone
Set from your country at setup and used for every appointment time, reminder and report boundary. If your clinic operates somewhere other than where you signed up from, change it here before you build a calendar on top of it.
Logo and brand colour
The logo appears in the panel chrome, and the brand colour is what the widget falls back to when you have not given it a colour of its own. One brand, set once.
Insurance, certificates and payment methods
These are not decoration — the assistant reads them. "Do you take my insurance?" and "can I pay by card?" are answered from these lists rather than from anything you write into a prompt.
Filling in payment methods takes a minute and removes one of the three questions every front desk answers all day.
Common questions
- Can I bill one service in a different currency from the rest?
- Yes — a service can override the clinic default. See services and pricing.
- I changed the timezone and existing appointments look wrong.
- Appointment times are stored as absolute moments, so they did not move — what changed is the wall clock they are displayed against. Change the timezone before, not after, you build a schedule.
