Create your clinic
What the setup questions do, why the country matters more than it looks, and what happens if you skip them.
Creating an account and creating a clinic are two different things. The account is you; the clinic is the organisation that holds the patient records. You make the account first, then a short setup asks four questions about the clinic.
Create the account
- Go to the sign-up page and switch to Create account.
- Enter your email and a password. The strength meter tells you which rule is not met yet rather than just saying "weak".
- You land straight in setup — there is no confirmation email to wait for.
Use your own email, not a shared clinic mailbox. Every action is attributed to a person, and roles are set per person. A shared login is a role you cannot narrow and an audit log you cannot read.
The four questions
| Question | What it actually sets |
|---|---|
| Clinic name | The name on the panel, on patient emails, and the basis of your public link. |
| Clinic type | A one-time seed of starter services, FAQ entries and assistant tone. See Choosing your clinic type. |
| Country | Your timezone baseline, the phone number format, and which data-protection instruments attach to your agreement. |
| Phone number | Stored in international format so reminders and the assistant can use it. |
The country answer is the one worth getting right. If your clinic is in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, it is what attaches the Standard Contractual Clauses to your Data Processing Agreement. Nothing adds them later on your behalf.
Accepting the agreement
Setup will not finish until you tick the box accepting the Terms of Service, the Privacy policy and the Data Processing Agreement. One tick binds all three.
We record the version you accepted, when, who accepted it, the country you gave, and which transfer instruments attached because of it. You can ask us for that record at any time. It is stored so that nobody — including us — can alter it afterwards.
If you skip the questions
"Skip for now" gets you into the panel with a clinic called Untitled Clinic, which you can rename later. It skips the questions, not the agreement — you still accept, because the clinic it creates is a real one that will hold real patient data.
Skipping leaves your country unset, so no transfer instrument attaches at that moment. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, set your country in clinic details before you enter patient data.
What to do next
- Set your working hours — nothing can be booked outside them.
- Add your specialties and doctors, in that order.
- Check your appointment rules; the defaults are sensible but they are not yours.
- Put the assistant on your site once the three above are true, so its first answer is a correct one.
Common questions
- Can I change the clinic name later?
- Yes, in clinic details. Renaming does not change your public link handle — that is a separate field, with its own 30-day redirect when you change it.
- Can one person belong to two clinics?
- Yes. The same account can hold memberships in several clinics, each with its own role, and you switch between them in the panel.
- Do I need a card to start?
- No. Nothing is charged to start and no card is required.
